About Idle Harbour
Idle Harbour is a small editorial site about one corner of gaming: idle and incremental games you can play in a web browser. We review a handful of them carefully rather than many of them quickly.
What we do
We pick a small set of idle and incremental games, open each one on its official site, play it, and write about it in plain language. Every review covers the same ground: what the game is, how a session feels, how much attention it wants, how it is funded, and who it suits. We also write short guides for people who are new to the genre or who want a healthier relationship with it.
We do not host games, embed them or link to copies. Every "official site" button goes to the developer's or publisher's own page.
What we do not do
- We do not publish scores or star ratings. We describe fit instead.
- We do not take payment from studios, and our links carry no affiliate or tracking codes.
- We do not invent player counts, ratings, quotes or testimonials. If we could not check something, we leave it out or say so.
Who writes here
Idle Harbour is written by a small editorial team. Pages are signed by the team rather than by individual names, because every review goes through the same checks and the same edits. You can read exactly what those checks are on How we review.
Languages
The site is written in English and translated into Italian, Hungarian and Finnish. Translations follow the meaning and tone of the original rather than its exact words, and all four versions are checked against the same sources.
